Economic Empowerment

Dignity Is Not Possible Without Independence.
Independence Is Not Possible Without Economic Power.

Building Economic Independence
DIHAN Foundation delivers livelihood support, skills training, microfinance access, and long-term economic empowerment programmes across Bangladesh.

We work with rural families trapped in poverty, widows, young people, climate-displaced communities, char land residents, and indigenous families in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Why Economic Empowerment Is the Foundation
Poverty is not just the absence of money — it is the absence of options.

Every programme we run depends on people having enough economic stability to make choices that transform their lives. A mother cannot keep her daughter in school without financial means. A woman cannot escape violence without economic independence. A farmer cannot adapt to climate change without resources.

DIHAN Foundation creates options where none existed before.

A Family's Story

His name is Karim. River erosion took his land. For three years his family survived on daily labour. He didn’t ask for food or money — he asked for a skill.

Today, Karim is learning a vocation, his son is back in school, and his wife has joined a women’s economic group.

That is what DIHAN builds — not dependency, but direction.
