Safe Water, Safe Schools, Brighter Futures
Access to safe water and adequate sanitation is essential for creating a healthy and inclusive learning environment. Without clean drinking water, hygienic facilities, and proper sanitation services, children face significant barriers to education, attendance, and overall well-being.
DIHAN Foundation works to strengthen water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities in schools across underserved communities in Bangladesh. Our initiatives focus on providing reliable access to safe drinking water, improving sanitation infrastructure, and ensuring that schools have clean and functional facilities that support the health and dignity of every student.
Recognising the unique challenges faced by girls, DIHAN Foundation promotes the establishment of gender-separated sanitation facilities that offer privacy, safety, and dignity. Access to appropriate school sanitation has a direct impact on girls' attendance, retention, and educational outcomes, helping to remove barriers that too often prevent them from reaching their full potential.
Alongside infrastructure improvements, we deliver hygiene education programmes that encourage healthy practices among students, teachers, and communities. By fostering lifelong habits around handwashing, cleanliness, and safe water use, we help create safer schools and healthier futures.
DIHAN Foundation believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn in an environment that is clean, safe, and supportive. Investing in school water and sanitation is an investment in education, equality, and the future of Bangladesh.
